This project was born out of the love of two children (Cole and Ani) who bravely supported and encouraged their Mom, (and my beautiful wife of 19 years), Tasha Marie Mellett, who fearlessly and courageously endured a 4+ year battle with Brain Cancer, Glioblastoma specifically. Tasha is our lead Warrior and the motivation behind the mission at Warriorlids . Sadly, Tasha went to be with the angels on July 25th, 2020. Not too long after the diagnosis in 2016, Tasha underwent many surgeries, chemo treatments and radiation over many months. With such treatment, Tasha, like many cancer warriors, had lost a significant amount of hair and we shopped for the nicest wig we could find. Tasha was so careful with her wig and never wanted to get it wet in a pool or the ocean, even as she took the kids to many afternoons at the pool and beach, in the summer heat, but she would not go in the water so as to preserve the wig and not damage it.
